Prelude
It occurred to me that some of you might be interested in hearing about my escapades as a programmer. As of today, I’m going to try and post a blog post and perhaps eventually a video detailing what I’ve been working on at the beginning of each week. This means I’ll be detailing everything I’ve accomplished in the last 7 days. This was greatly inspired by my good friends over at StudentRND, who I strongly suggest checking out if you get a chance. This is hopefully the first of many blog posts. Let’s see if I can finally commit to posting regularly!

For the past week, I’ve mostly been focusing on school finals. However, I did manage to play around a little bit with a library called TensorFlow. It’s a Python framework created by Google for machine learning. I’m currently learning about convolutional neural networks. CNNs are basically image filters designed through machine learning that are fed into a traditional neural network. If you’re interested, this is a really great tutorial for it. I also have a ton of other resources that I’ll link at the bottom of this post.
Also, I got a new dog! We haven’t given her a name yet, but she’s awesome. It’s really good to have a dog again. It’s been a while since we lost our previous poodle, and the house has felt empty.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this format. I didn’t get much done this weekend, so I hope these posts will be slightly longer in the future. Here are the resources I promised:
