Prelude
It occurred to me that some of you might be interested in hearing about my escapades as a programmer. Because of this, I’m going to try and post a blog post detailing what I’ve been working on at the beginning of each week. This means I’ll be detailing everything I’ve accomplished in the last 7 days. I will also be listing the takeaways from that week. This may be useful to some people so they can learn from my mistakes and successes.
Week 4
This week was pretty mellow. I worked a little bit on modding ARK: Survival Evolved. On a down note, myself and a friend determined that it was time to abandon the previously announced GitShield project. Thankfully I’m still on very good terms with everyone involved. On the other hand, I’ve started a new project, which I’ll hopefully post about once we’re ready for alpha testing.
Takeaways
- It seems like whenever a project is not worked on for more than a week or two, it ends up dying. Regardless of what agreements are made on resuming progress, you can’t force people to do something they don’t want to.
